Product

Based on the feedback we received in last weeks class, we decided that the app shouldn’t be a stand alone product, but it will be part of a monthly kit subscription. We have yet to decide exactly on the contents of each kit, but we are leaning towards alcohol based kits since our expert interviewees have told us that there isn’t really a difficulty scale that one can rank cocktails according to.

In addition, we worked on narrowing down to our MVP, which means we said goodbye for now to the in-app community aspect of the product, reduced the scope of games, and put more emphasis on the interaction between the physical kit and the app.

This decision made us go back to the sketchpad (figma 🙂) and work on a new design which is based on kits, and not difficulty. After we completed this iteration, we went back to users to conduct usability tests, and the results were positive but with corrections we need to work on in the next version.

An effective tool we used this week was MIDJOURNEY! We used it to create both our splash screen and a caricature within the app. It really helped us curate personalized graphics in mere seconds. Hopefully we will be able to continue using this throughout the semester.

Dev

On the dev side, Maayan and Arielle worked on creating the base framework for the recipe and making our splash screen come to life ✨
