In preparation for our needs presentation next week, we really had to focus and decide on our target population. Thankfully, the user interviews we conducted throughout the week helped us understand which population we should really target (of course with the big help from Noa and Ofir who helped guide us to the answer).

Our target population:

People who were just diagnosed with IBD (Irritable Bowel Disease) like Crohn's and Colitis.

We decided on this population since they have a substantially complicated relationship with food, since their disease is inherently connected to food, and these are serious chronic illnesses, unlike a mild case of food allergy.

In addition, we chose to focus on the initial time period after the diagnosis since this can be an emotionally, psychologically, and physically challenging time.

Once we fine-tuned our population, we headed on to map out our persona's struggles and needs.

“How might we help Rona feel comfortable eating with people for the first time after her diagnosis?”

Since we want to deepen our knowledge in the IBD field, we decided to go back and interview IBD experts, and conduct more user interviews with people who have an IBD.
